If the organisers of Space Cadets succeed in fooling the contestants then it will be a damning indictment on the state of science and technology education in the UK.
It will be impossible to simulate the high g forces experienced at liftoff or the zero perceived gravity conditions in orbit. Everyone who has been through the education system since the dawn of the space age and considers themselves educated to a reasonable level should be fully aware of these effects and should not be fooled.

What a big dissappointment , your pre accounts seemed so very exciting yet so far you have missed all my expectations . You apparently have the ability to produce space travel to look for real , yet you are using these images to make people look foolish whereas if you had used them to show people what it is really like you could have captured an audience possibly worldwide ..
It has been alleged that the landing on the moon was a figment of immagination where it was doctored to look real so what an opportunity to really hold us in our seats you had which is now wasted by the inclusion of these unfortunate people you have conned to bring this show on the road

I can't believe that none of the "astronauts" on the programme queried the fact that their flight to Kazakhstan took a mere four hours! Over 3000 miles in a turboprop aircraft at speeds Concorde would have struggled to manage! I would have been impressed!

I think the hoax is going to be on us. Something is not quite right. Channel Four have layed too many of their cards on the table. Perhaps they WILL be blasted off into space - or something else will happen that the television audience has not been told yet.

what a horrible boring tv programme this is. I saw the first two but will not bother anymore, no one I speak to has even heard about it, nothing in papers from tv critics either. I think the big hoax is on us for bothering to tune into it. No more

The whole thing is an elaborate hoax on the viewers. If you look not so closely on the advert for giving blood with Gordon Ramsay in it, the so called electrician Ryan seems to have had some recent acting experience.A coincidence i think not.

I think it is a bit suspicous that Ryan appears on the National Blood donor advert with Gorden Ramsey, which also happens to be shown on Ch4-very suspect. Does anyone agree? If its not him, its a very good lookalike.

can anyone give a concrete reason why sound is cut in this show? its obviously deliberate as annoying canned sounds are inserted as in big brother. i'm looking for something a little more concrete than "Legal reasons", even what exactly those legal reasons are.

When they arrived in 'Russia', didn't any of them realise the time hadn't changed, and none of them had jetlag? Presumably at least one of them had a watch on the journey.

Maybe it is a joke on us, the viewers - but, hey, let's enjoy being taken for the ride! I'm not a great fan of reality tv, but this is a howl. Why dont Channel 4 do a "genuine monster spotting submarine trip on Loch Ness" whilst they're at it.

After watching 2 episodes of this I beleive this has got to be a hoax on the viewers. On launch night after they were supposed to be in space, Vaughan said they couldn't open the window on the shuttle to see the fake view of Earth because a moth was lose in the studio. Yesterday they used the same excuse and showed us the moth which looked like some bad CGI.

Nobody that would have signed up for space training could be stupid enough to believe they were in space but not experiencing weightlessness.

Also there is no voting as in every other reality show. If viewers paid money voting and the hoax was on them they would be angry. No voting means no complaints when they reveal the truth.

Excellent show. No. 1, I believe at the beginning of the show Johnny Vaughan said if you pulled it off he would eat a certain persons hat. When can we see this? No. 2, Is Christmas in Space going to be released in time for Christmas ???
