Goodbye Jimmy, thank you for so many years of wonderful memories from all of your work. As an engineer myself I had a fond connection to the character of Montgomerey Scott; few other characters in the series even came close to his wit and charm. It was James Doohan the actor that truly brought that beloved persona to the world... and we'll miss you Scotty.

From all the younger generation out there that actually popped in the VHS (gasp) and heard that wonderful Abberdeen accent, Thank you Scotty, thank you Jimmy. I wish you the best in the final frontier, where I know you'll be "no Tribble at all"
