The 1980s band, famous for Blue Monday, will play the Saturday night headliner slot at the event run by Radio 1 DJ Rob Da Bank on the Isle of Wight in September.
Original bassist Peter Hook will not be performing with New Order, who reformed last year.
Other acts added to the line-up include Friendly Fires, Death In Vegas, Daughter, Drums Of Death, Zulu Winter and Django Django.
Icelandic chill-rockers Sigur Ros have already been announced as a UK festival exclusive along with The xx, Two Door Cinema Club, Justice, Orbital, Hot Chip, 2manydjs and De La Soul.
Rob da Bank said: "So I've got Blue Monday blaring out of the Bestival HQ office speakers as we unveil our iconic Saturday night headliner New Order.
"It doesn't get better than that, but it does, True Faith, Bizarre Love Triangle, Fine Time, Regret, so many amazing records that I grew up listening to (and still listen to now) and they still sound immense, pioneering, legendary. See you down the front."
Bestival takes place at Robin Hill Country Park, Isle of Wight, from September 6 to 9.

It's not New Order then...
I think Isle of Wight festivals are amazing
80's Hmmm
Try 70, 80, 90, 00 and the 1x
If the Sugar babes can change ALL 3 original members and still call themselves the sugar babes then I think 3 members of NO can still call themselves NO...
Its a bit like my grandad's wooden mallet he's had since 1965, once he had to change the handle in 1978 and then the actual mallet in 1989 so its still an original mallet - I guess same warped logic...
Got my tickets for the Apollo and will go and see Hooky next time he's in town, its great to be able to hear their music, if they sort out their differences then great, if not then I wont lose any sleep over it...
personally I shall be seeing them the stone roses the vaccines and probably the happy Mondays when Manchester takes over the benicasim festival latter this year nothing to do with the storey really just a smug boast about seeing some bands and not getting rained on!!
They never play anything from Movement, which is a very underated LP.
Is music these days really so bad that we have to recycle these old bands . The Mondays. New Order, Stone Roses, etc. were great 25 years ago when they were the cutting edge. I'll be saving my money and digging out the old albums, Movement, Squirrel GMan, and the first Roses L.P. Happy days, but thats where they should stay..
With only 3 members of the original group, they could make a triangle.
It'd be a bit bizarre though, love.
Crap bass player anyway. Infact, New Order are a crap band altogther.
Bland and boring. Let's hope their revival is short lived.
