Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney will headline a spectacular musical tribute to the Queen to mark her Diamond Jubilee, partly organised by Gary Barlow.
Sir Paul will be among a concert line-up that will feature artists from across the 60 years of the monarch's reign playing in front of Buckingham Palace on 4 June.
Securing McCartney for the event's bill is a major coup for the Take That star, who said: "The Diamond Jubilee concert will celebrate the 60 years of the Queen's reign with an amazing line-up of world-class artists coming together to play at one of the biggest and most exciting live music shows in recent years.
"With Buckingham Palace as a backdrop, it's going to be a fantastic event which transcends multiple decades of music.
"It'll be a great, unique, experience for the thousands attending, watching on TV and listening on radio. I can't wait."
Among the performers will be Sir Elton John, Sir Tom Jones, Dame Shirley Bassey, Jessie J, boy band JLS and singer songwriter Ed Sheeran.
Also taking to the stage that will sited around the Queen Victoria Memorial will be Madness, Annie Lennox and Sir Cliff Richard.
Barlow said the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry had both requested artists to perform in front of an audience of more than 10,000 that will include the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and other members of the Royal Family."

Fortunately, I will be thousands of miles away, when this 'spectacular musical tribute' pollutes the airways.
The 'Old Lady' will probably wish she was, too.
Keep your eyes on Her Maj, when the proposed line-up take to the stage... see if you can spot her iPad, carefully concealed beneath her finely coiffured, barnet.
And, as it draws painfully on, she'll no doubt be wearing the glazed expression, much favoured by her mother, after tanking a snoot-full of Gilbeys.
Woeful list of the usual grovelling suspects, former rebel rockers now with their knighthoods and damehoods (and looks like Barlow is fishing for one too)
Where is the alternative gig? Where is Johnny Rotten when we need him!
That sounds like its going to be one of the most smug, backslapping, boring gigs ever....
So, a mediocre talent 'enlisting' a real talent who has rested on his laurels for the last 42 years. Big deal. I'll be heading up to Edale camp site when it's on...except that last year when the Royal Wedding was on the place was full of chavs with plastic Union Jack bowler hats waving flags and watching the it on telly. Are there on vacant huts going on Rockall for hire? ...just having a look at Googlearth to see if it's remote enough...
Can we have some decent artists please with no sirs or dames?
