Millions of fans inundated the M.E.N. Arena and Peter's official websites after the Bolton comedian announced in the M.E.N. his long awaited return to stand-up.

DEMAND for tickets for Peter Kay's new 'tour' crashed websites earlier today.

Millions of fans inundated the M.E.N. Arena and Peter's official websites after the Bolton comedian announced in the M.E.N. his long awaited return to stand-up.

He will perform exclusively at the Arena next spring in what will be his only shows of 2010.

A spokesman for the M.E.N Arena said: "We always knew this morning's announcement was going to be huge and, even though we'd taken every precaution to make sure both ours and Peter's websites would be ready for the enquiries, we've been blown away by just how big this news is.

"We're now happy to report that all the sites are back online and we're more than prepared for tickets going on sale tomorrow morning."

Tickets for the 'The Tour That Doesn't Tour Tour' which takes place from April 27-30 go on sale at 11am tomorrow priced ?35

funny how tickets are already up for sale on sites like Viagogo and the Online Ticket show for whats is likely to be well over the odds.
Wil it be worth logging on tomorrow just to be sold a tickets so far back i might as well be at home?

What a joke! I have been trying to get tickets since 11am, phone lines blocked, ticket master crashed, yet there are already hundreds of tickets appearing on ebay! It's a shame that people who actually do want to go and watch the show can't get tickets but OBVIOUS touts can get them to sell so soon after buying them! It's a complete and utter joke!

Have spent over an hour trying to buy tickets online and failed yet ticket tout sites are already offering tickets for over a hundred pounds each. Ticketmaster need to have a system that sells tickets to people that want to go to the show and not to touts. I won't be visiting Manchester in April.

woohoo! I ordered mine on presale at 9am this morning , and then managed to get my little brother another pair at 11.45 (after trying nonstop for 45minutes due to ticketmaster crashing!

If people got off their lazy backside and went to the arena they would have got them, but internet is making them lazy, years ago we queued all Night on New years eve for the sales, you have it to good nowadays...

Gutted, tried for 2 hours on ticketmaster and couldn't get them, couldn't get through on the phone, big fan, but not happy that people have managed to get tickets and sell them on other sites for obscence amounts of money. It's not fair to the people who genuinly want to go and see him.

Gutted, was trying all morning on ticketmaster and had no luck due to it crashing on a number of occasions, the phone lines where also busy. Not impressed that people buy these things and sell them for an obscence amount of money it is greedy and selfish and really unfair on the people who genuinly wanted to see Peter Kay and can't afford silly prices.

This was an absolute disgrace, so much for fan club tickets and pre registering, tried from 8 o'clock not a chance.How can ALL tickets go so quickly, smacks of corruption !! I only wanted 3 tickets to see the show, not 8 to sell on!!

If people didn't pay touts and secondary ticket agencies above face value for a ticket then there wouldn't be any reason for them to bulk buy tickets and sell them on for stupid prices. People do however, and hence the ongoing saga of Rip-off Britain. This is the state that you people have created so unless you are prepared to vote with your feet, quit whining. I for one am sick of hearing people going about prices yet still proceed with the purchase. Divert your concerns to the right channel, you're not achieving anything here.

if you can't get a ticket you will be able to watch him on BBC iplayer. All of his jokes are repeats so should be on there.
