THERE'S no need for reunited girlband The Nolans to ask a buoyant crowd if they're in the mood for dancing. Most revellers are already trying to boogie in the aisles before the opening strains of Holding Out For a Hero.

This reunion tour with the four sisters Coleen, Linda, Bernie and Maureen, was hailed "the ultimate girls night out" and from the off it was like being in the midst of the biggest hen party ever.

The Nolans certainly play to their audience - opening up the show with a troupe of eight hunky male dancers who, after strutting out in stereotypical stripper attire of pilot, cowboy, fireman and, erm, welder, gamely throw off their outfits down to sequin-clad pants.

Then our divas arrive all big hair, belting voices and luscious curves. Although now all in their 40s and 50s they look fabulous - and the show has been designed to show off the strengths of each sibling.

The hits are interspersed with a host of classic party anthems and no less than seven glitzy costume changes.

Although all are in fine voice, it is down to Coleen, the most famous Nolan of the moment thanks to her role on TV's Loose Women, to take lead vocals on many tracks - the likes of Chain Reaction, Eternal Flame and I Will Survive.

But it's Bernie who steals the show in the finale of The Voice Within - which they bill as their rallying cry to all women to love themselves no matter what. And it is their own "real women" charm that appeals to such an array of fans.

Ending with a standing ovation, the girls seemed touched. A beaming Coleen said: "This is why I decided to move to Manchester." There's only one song left - I'm In The Mood For Dancing. Predictably it goes down a storm.
