American singer Ne-Yo, whose hits include Closer, complained of illness halfway through his set last night and called off the gig.
But he did tell fans he would return to the city to finish the show at a later date.
The self-proclaimed 'smooth' pop icon appeared visibly uncomfortable, at one stage asking for patience from a loyal and fervent Arena audience.
Energetic
But following a tribute to Michael Jackson with an energetic version of Off The Wall, the star visibly regressed, complaining of illness.
An unknown female singer from his own record label was at one point sent out to placate a restless crowd, but by 10pm Ne-Yo and dancers left the stage.
The Los Angeles-based star eventually emerged teary-eyed vowing to return to the city and finish the show at a later date.
Boos greeted the Arena's official postponement confirmation.
Promoters AEG said they would release a statement later today with further information to ticket holders.

He had great stage presence and performed really well so I was extremely suprised when he wasnt able to continue with the show.
He came on stage looking teary eyed and at first I thought it was an act for his song "so you can cry" but then I realised he was generally really upset and then saying he couldn't continue with the show and that he would definitly come back to perform to everyone again to which some of the audience (supposed to be fans) started booing which I thought was so nasty as he cant help being ill and it would of no doubt made him feel even worse... even though he didn't finish the show I had a great night and just hope I'm here for when he re schedules it but I'm away all summer :( so I hope its after the holidays.
I LOVE NE-YO! <3 xxx

These new stars are indeed lightweights!
Kieth Moon could play on for 4 hours with an obscene and dangerous amount of 'class A's' in his system, a bottle of JD swilled down and probably severe discomfort through various infections caught from the onslaught of groupies at his disposal. This bloke got a cold, felt a bit poorly and let his fans down!
Rock stars of today, pah............
I am now off to put some 'records' (remember them?) on the deck and loose myself in Led Zep for an hour or so!

I still love Ne yo and cant wait to see him perform when he is at full fitness as i was feeling abit shortchanged through the concert. He came on half an hour late and clearly was not performing at his full ability. I am pleased he realised that he could not continue. Although brave to announce to his fans he was stopping the concert, there was no apology and the fans were left confused as to what was happening when he left the stage. This might explian some of the boos. Aware mine not the opinion of all just wanted to share some of my thoughts.

Also, to all the people who booed, it was so out of order, he was blatantly ill and that's not his fault!
