BRITAIN'S Got Talent winner George Sampson had a very special thank you for all his hometown supporters this week - choosing Warrington for an exclusive performance of his debut single.
The only problem being his ecstatic fans screamed so loud with excitement it was almost impossible to hear, as our online videos of his routines show.
Back home to switch on the town's Christmas lights, the 15-year-old dance sensation treated hundreds of fans to a sneak preview of his forthcoming single, a double a-side called Get Up on the Dance Floor/Headz Up, with Georgemania bringing hundreds of adoring teenagers to see their idol in the flesh at the Golden Square shopping mall, singing as well as dancing for the first time.
They weren't the only ones excited by his fleeting visit home, as George himself revealed, it was an emotional return to perform in front of his family and friends.
Family
"This is the most important gig so far for me, because I know all my best friends and family are out there," he told the M.E.N. backstage.
"These are the people who know me best, I'm shaking with excitement."
Released on the same day as Take That's new single, his debut track will be the next step in an amazing year for the former Birchwood High school pupil - who has gone from street dancing in Manchester city centre to superstar in just a few months - with a dance DVD and a star turn at the Royal Variety Show still to come before Christmas.
"My life has been totally transformed," he said. "I've gone from busking to bigger things, but I'm still the same person - and my family will be as proud as ever when I get on the stage."
