The 21-year-old received 63% of the public vote when he went head to head against Stuart, a personal trainer.
He became the eighth housemate to be evicted from the house.
When Dale, from Liverpool, arrived in the house he fell head over heels for fellow housemate Jennifer.
He told her he "really, really liked her" but she kept him guessing about her feelings and flirted outrageously with Stuart. Jennifer was evicted on day 30, leaving Dale heartbroken.
Dale was greeted with cheers from the crowd as he left the Big Brother house last night.
He told presenter Davina McCall that he was happy to leave the house after 11 weeks as it had been a "long time" and he missed people.
Honoured
"I feel so honoured to have been given the chance to go on Big Brother" he added.
The pair discussed his love interest in the house, 21-year-old Jennifer, a model from Chester-le-Street in Durham.
Dale said she had been on his mind since she had left but it was up to her whether they sparked up a relationship now he was out.
"She knows how I felt about her in the house. If I'm honest I'd like to hug her," he said.
McCall played Dale a clip of Jennifer's eviction interview. The presenter said to her "please love Dale" to which she replied "I do". After seeing this Dale said: "I'm surprised".
At the end of the eviction show Davina brought Jennifer on to the stage as a surprise. Dale picked her up and said: "I've missed you".
When asked who he thought had nominated him this week Dale said: "A lot of people. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the majority of the house."
McCall asked him why he had begged his fellow housemates to put him up for eviction.
"On paper you have potential winner all over you," she said.
He replied: "I didn't want to get in the final and not have survived an eviction."
