SHOPPERS at Asda in Trafford Park expressed surprise that Coleen was no longer the face of George and suggested who should step into her shoes.

Brenda Cheetham, from Sale, said: “I think they should ask Kate Moss. to become the new face of George. She's very glamorous and she carries clothes very well.”

Maggie Richmond, from Manchester, said: “Asda could save a lot of money by not replacing her.”

Linda Jackson, from Swinton, said: "I think Asda should ask Jordan and Peter Andre to become the face of George. They need someone with a fuller figure like Jordan, and she and Peter Andre would probably do it for free.”

Tracey Large said: “I think it's a shame that they've dropped Coleen because she comes across as an ordinary girl. You wouldn't see Posh shopping at Asda."

Her daughter Hayley said: "I think Tina O'Brien (Sarah-Lou on Coronation Street) would be a good replacement."

Linda Hemsley, from Irlam, said: "Denise van Outen would be a good replacement."
