Although judge Amanda Holden's get-up of huge overcoat and woolly Ugg boots looked better suited to a Siberian cold-front, than just a Manchester chill.
Amanda has set up camp in the city alongside fellow show judges, Simon Cowell and Piers Morgan and show hosts Ant and Dec, and the team have been making themselves comfortable at the five-star Radisson Edwardian Hotel.
They held the first day of auditions at The Palace Theatre yesterday, and will continue with the process today and tomorrow too - attempting to find talented variety stars for the second series of the show, to be broadcast in the autumn.
Huge queues of people snaked around Oxford Street ahead of the auditions yesterday - including audience members and wannabe contestants.

Why don't you go down there yourself and start telling some of your jokes. You're obviously a man of incredible wit.
