Belle Vue set for War of the Roses

Belle Vue fans will be able to see their new-look team for the first time in an eve-of-season War of the Roses challenge match at Sheffield on Thursday, March 22 (7.45pm).

New signings Adam Shields and Linus Eklof will be in a side which is expected to be completed shortly.

It is the third running of the fixture which has become a highly competitive friendly.

Chris Morton, the Autogate Aces Operations Director, said: “Sheffield is a great place to go to shake off the cobwebs.

“It is a good race track and just what the lads need to put themselves and their bikes through their paces.”

Sheffield co-promoter David Hoggart said: “We want to beat Belle Vue to get the season off to a winning start and lay a marker down to the other Premier League teams.”
