Craig Cook takes his speedway education to a higher level tonight when he moves up into the main body of the Belle Vue team for the Elite League match at Wolverhampton.

Cumbrian Cook started his first full season in top flight racing down at reserve but is promoted on the strength of his 15-point show against Lakeside which lifted him to fifth place in the Autogate Aces’ averages.

He fills the tough No 2 slot where he will partner team captain Chris Harris. Tweet
