Belle Vue have signed Polish rider Dawid Stachyra to replace his fellow countryman Tomasz Piszcz, who resigned after failing to score for the third time in six matches on Monday.

Stachyra, 25, will make his debut in the Elite League match against Lakeside at Kirkmanshulme Lane on Monday.

Stachyra, who comes in on a 4.58 average, has experience of racing in Britain as he has been with Ipswich for the last two seasons and they would have kept him this year if they had stayed in the Elite League.
