It would mean around an extra 10 meetings at Kirkmanshulme Lane in the third flight of the British speedway pyramid which is designed to provide racing for up and coming riders.
Local whizzkid Jason Garrity, who has just signed a full contract with the Aces, will be a pivotal member of the team.
The club will attend the National League annual meeting later this month while negotiations with their Greyhound Racing Association landlords to use the stadium are at an advanced stage.
The surprise move is fuelled partly by a frustration at being unable to help young British riders, but the possibility of the club having their own stadium is also a major factor.
Chris Morton, the Aces’ operations director, said: “The meetings will be either on a Monday if there isn’t a senior fixture, or on a Wednesday.
“It is possible we would need to run twice a week but it wouldn’t happen very often. It is not in our minds to run Elite and National league matches on the same night.
“We are very keen to bring on young British riders and we have shown that by signing Jason Garrity.
“Steve Williams and Graham Goodwin, who run the Colts, have done some great work over the years and it has been so frustrating for them and us to see young riders with good potential go elsewhere because we have been unable of offer them team racing and adequate practice facilities.
“We want to commit Belle Vue to developing young British talent. It is something very close to my heart.
“At the moment, if we want new blood in the senior side we have to bring in a rider from abroad. It would be great to be producing our own talent and, if the new stadium gets the go-ahead, we will be able to give youngsters everything they need.”

Glad this story has finally broken in the M.E.N. It's to be hoped that the presumably cheaper admission prices to these fixtures will encourage those who can no longer afford to attend all the Belle Vue Aces Elite matches to go along and witness what is usually some very exciting racing.
I'll be one of the ones attending them in addition to the regular meetings and hope many other enlightened ones do too.
The return of the Colts will give young talent a chance to shine in truely competitive racing. Aces fans should get behind this initiative to produce local British talent. The kids are guaranteed to put on a show whatever the conditions .....
It's exactly what British Speedway needs. We should be producing our own young British talent, not relying on second rate foreign imports.
And quite rightly Belle Vue seem to be taking the lead in addressing the issue.
What we need now is for Manchseter City Council to get their finger out and give us the new stadium and the decent facilities that these kids need, rather than the unsuitable decrepit Kirky Lane dog track.
Come on MEN it's time you woke up the council again. Where's our stadium?
Couldn't agree more with the above.
Hope the fans support this venture. A Colts NL team and a new stadium is exactly what is needed.
MEN isn't it about time for an update on the new stadium?
cant wait for the new speedway season to start and its about time Belle Vue started bringing the young lads through. Things are really looking up for Manchester speedway and i hope they sign some local lads to ride like Garrity and Howarth, two really fast and promising young talents.
Good luck with the new stadium proposal!!
I really hope the new stadium comes off, get Belle Vue back up to the top instead of using the dog track! I hope the colts run a decent team n all, get Garrity and Howarth in an aces Bib! some local lads who have smashing futures in the sport!
Colts team is exellent news and will be a huge benifit to Belle Vue speedway in the long term
