BELLE Vue missed out on a chance to move further away from the spectre of the relegation play-off with a dismal performance at Peterborough.
They jumped off the bottom with a superb home win over Coventry on Monday but couldn't repeat that form against a side chasing a place in the championship play-offs.
Top scorer Krzysztof Kasprzak had a nightmare, finishing last in three of his five races, and young Aussie Josh Grajczonek found the step up from Premier League racing too hot to handle on a very fast track.
They were 25-11 down after six races but Patrick Hougaard gave them a boost by winning a tactical ride in the next.
Maximum points
But the home side powered in with maximum points in heats 8, 9 and 10 to lead 42-21 and the match was as good as over with 5 races to go.
The One51 Aces had sent Poole to the bottom on points difference on Monday and were handed a major boost on Wednesday when the Dorset club were beaten at home by Swindon.
The Aces have 22 points from 23 matches with Poole on 22 from 26. They have 5 home matches left compared with Poole's three but the clubs still have to meet home and away, the first showdown being at Kirkmanshulme Lane on August 24.
PETERBOROUGH: N-K Iversen 14, D Ward 13, K Bjerre 12, A Dryml 9, K Hansen 5, H Bager 5.
BELLE VUE: P Hougaard 12, K Kasprzak 8, U Ostergaard 8, J Wright 7, M Risager 3, J Grajczonek 0

Until they stop going up and down like a 'fiddlers elbow' and become more competetive and consistent, there is going to be no change in the current situation.
If the management want more fans through the turnstiles, they need to invest in some quality riders and and make the presentation of the meetings more exciting than the dull affair that exists at present.
