Chris Morton, the One51 Aces' Operations manager, and Stockport-based rider James Wright have been in action at the Manchester stadium.
Cycling manager Bob Barber, a long-time speedway fan, invited them to a taster day after contacting Morton for advice about an air safety fence for a BMX track.
It was a fortunate link for Morton, who had wanted to study the nutrition and fitness regimes of the Olympic cyclists following their success in Beijing.
"I am sure we could use it for the benefit of the team at Belle Vue," insisted Morton. "Our riders have very heavy schedules all over Europe during the season and I have been looking at ways of helping them to stay on the boil.
"I do have some knowledge about fitness and preparation but five gold medals say they know a lot more.
"I had a meeting recently with Andy Ashworth, sales manager of Science in Sport at Blackburn, who worked with members of the Olympic team.
"Then he was at the Velodrome when James and I went to ride there so I took the chance to discuss their products and which ones might fit our needs.
"Speedway is no different from many sports in the way science can help with things like hydration and high energy supplements.
"Obviously, speedway riders have engines to power their bikes but even a race lasting a minute is physically exhausting and a lot of the boys have heavy travel schedules as well.
"Many will have been in Poland on a Sunday when they come to ride for Belle Vue on a Monday and then they're off to race in Sweden on a Tuesday. I'm sure from my talks with Andy that SiS will be able to help them to stay at their best so they can handle such a vigorous lifestyle."
