The club are thrilled that waste management group, One51, have not only agreed to stay on board but are planning to make a bigger corporate use of the speedway club's Belle Vue Stadium in Kirkmanshulme Lane.
The sponsorship agreement, which also involves support for community programmes, is a reward for Belle Vue's policy of taking good care of their sponsors as the current arrangement has grown from initial support in the 2007 season.
That was when Smith Metals began their backing and it blossomed into a full main sponsorship this year after the Dublin-based One51 group had added the Bolton company to their portfolio of acquisitions.
The new deal is a major boost for the Aces who are hoping to announce further new sponsorship agreements to go along with their appointment of new captain Charlie Gjedde.
David Gordon, the Belle Vue managing director, said: "It will be the third year they have supported us in 2009 and we are delighted to have negotiated the new agreement, especially in the current financial climate.
Effort
"It is not easy attracting sponsors but, ever since we took over at Belle Vue, we have made every effort to look after the people who are backing us.
"The fact that this sponsorship is now in its third year suggests we are doing things right."
James Cubbon, head of business development for Smith Metals which is the main north west company in the One51 group, said: "The opportunity Belle Vue gave us last season to raise our profile was there for us to use and we didn't fully utilise it.
"This was mainly because we were going through a lot of acquisition phases but now we are well and truly ensconced in the north west.
"We feel this is a good opportunity to continue the Belle Vue sponsorship at a community level and also to highlight what One51 are doing in the region.
"This is a good platform to show what we are doing in the Greater Manchester region and we intend to make much more use of the Belle Vue connection.
"We receive most of our metals from the engineering sector. We deal with a lot of the companies who make automotive parts and many of them are not only sports fans but motor sport fans in particular.
"They would be very interested in coming to Belle Vue and I have already talked to one contact who is looking forward to meeting Chris Morton again.
"Belle Vue gave us an outstanding profile last year and now we are ready to do more to take advantage of it after a period of consolidation.
"The Belle Vue management have been fantastic in what they have offered to do for us."
