POLISH rider Stan Burza may have had the shortest Belle Vue career in history.
The 30-year-old, released by Coventry last month following a back injury, made a steady debut for the One51 Aces in last week’s defeat at Poole after being signed to replace Nick Simmons.
But he suffered a back injury racing in Poland on Sunday and is doubtful to be fit in time to ride again before the end of the season when his agreement expires. Birmingham’s Craig Watson replaced him but failed toscore from three rides.
A bad start cost the Aces yet another chance of their first away win of the season. They were 17-7 down after three heats but maximum points from heats seven and eight made it 26-25 to the home side.
The Aces went into the last race a point ahead but Wolves took full points to grab victory. The sides meet in the return at Kirkmanshulme Lane on Wednesday.

Bikes packing in on the last bend, Crump running a last, are we ever going to get that elusive away win?
