BELLE Vue fell just short, yet again, of their first away Elite League win of the season at Ipswich.

They hit back from conceding maximum points in heats two and three, when they trailed 12-6, to be level at 18 all when Joe Screen won the sixth.

But it was his only win of the night as Ipswich avenged their defeat at Belle Vue on Monday by the same score.

Jason Crump was in fine form, dropping only point, but he lacked the support he needed from his fellow heat leaders, Charlie Gjedde and Screen, both of whom ran two disappointing last places.
