BELLE Vue's injury problems have taken two steps forward and one back.

Billy Forsberg and Lukasz Jankowski are expected to be fit for Wednesday's home match with Wolverhampton, but new signing Jonas Raun is facing a ten-day lay-off after suffering headaches following a crash in Denmark.

Forsberg, a reserve for Saturday's Swedish Grand Prix in Gothenburg, had one ride but will wait to see if there is any reaction from his fractured thumb injury before deciding when to return.

The One51 Aces are at Wolverhampton tonight when the home side will be without Danish star Niels-Kristian Iversen, who suffered a dislocated shoulder in Gothenburg.

Aces' team boss Chris Morton said: "Raun had to pull out of last Thursday's meeting at Ipswich and he needs a break from racing to get over it.

"Jankowski is doing a few practice sessions and has said he'll be ready for Wednesday and we are waiting for a decision from Forsberg. But we are hopeful he will return this week."

Robert Ksiezak will deputise for Raun in both matches against bottom-of-the-table Wolves.

Jason Crump, Belle Vue's No1, had his best Grand Prix so far this season when he reached the final and finished fourth at Gothenburg's Ullevi Stadium.

But the Aces were just happy he came through the meeting unscathed as the track broke up and there were several multiple crashes.

Poland's Rune Holta won his first Grand Prix although home star Freddie Lindgren, who rides against Belle Vue tonight for Wolves, was top scorer after winning his five qualifying races and his semi-final.
