Aces won't rush Boxall

BELLE Vue have told injured young star Steve Boxall to take his time returning to the saddle, even though they are desperate to have him back after a fine start to the season.

Boxall, 20, dislocated a shoulder at Coventry last Friday and popped it back into place himself on the track.

Nothing was broken but he remains very sore and misses the opening away Elite League match of the season at Swindon tonight when Glasgow's Robert Ksiezak deputises again.

Team manager Chris Morton said: "We aren't sure yet when Boxall will be ready to come back. He has been told to rest his shoulder so we'll have a better idea when he can start to move it and do some work with it.

"It's so important that he doesn't rush back because you can't be too careful with an injury like this. It hasn't happened to him before but it's well known in speedway that you can have an on-going problem with a dislocated shoulder."

Pole Michal Rajkowski will be fit to ride after damaging an ankle in the big pile-up during Monday's home match against Lakeside.

Swindon include former Ace James Wright.

BELLE VUE: J Crump, B Forsberg, C Gjedde, L Jankowski, J Screen, M Rajkowski, R Ksiezak.
