NICKI PEDERSEN may be the World Champion-elect - but he has never scored a maximum in Manchester.

And Belle Vue's riders will be out to ensure that is still the case after tonight's Elite League match against Eastbourne at Kirkmanshulme Lane (7.30pm).

Eagles captain Pedersen all but sealed his second world title in the Polish Grand Prix at the weekend. The Dane finished third behind home stars Tomasz Gollob and Krzysztof Kasprzak at Bydgoszcz.

But he extended his lead in the title race to a massive 31 points over Swindon's Aussie Leigh Adams.

Antonio Lindback, who had to pull out of Belle Vue's home defeat by Swindon with a hip injury, will ride tonight.
