The Swedish Grand Prix rider flew in for his first match since crashing in Latvia last week but completed only one race before being forced to pull out on medical advice.
Lindback finished third in his first outing but then retired in the next while in last place.
He had aggravated his hip injury and couldn't put any weight on it as his bid to re-establish his career with the Aces took another backward step.
His exit from the match compounded a bad night for the bottom of the table Aces, who were always up against the odds with Swindon flying high at the top of the table.
They had lost in-form Swede Billy Forsberg before the meeting as he had to pull out after suffering neck and back injuries at the weekend.
Suffered
In addition, Pole Adam Skornicki was handicapped by a knee injury suffered racing at home on Sunday, while Simon Stead was still struggling with a shoulder problem.
The result was another completely one-sided match with the Aces managing only two of the 15 heat winners on their own track, a poor commentary on the failed system which is designed to produce evenly matched teams.
Aces team boss Eric Boocock said: "We knew this was a tall order with Swindon at the top of the table. But we had several riders who were struggling for fitness and they were just too strong for us.
"It was a real blow to lose Forsberg because he had such a good meeting for us last week and another strong performance from him would have made it much closer.
"As it was, we had to bring in young Adam Roynon to replace him and the youngster rode his heart out for three points."
Swindon took maximum points from six races and they had three riders unbeaten by a Belle Vue man.
BELLE VUE: J Wright 9, S Stead 8, K Doolan 6, J Screen 4, A Skornicki 4, A Roynon 3, A Lindback 1.
SWINDON: L Adams 14, C Gjedde 14, L Richardson 9, S Ulamek 7, T Chrzanowski 6, A Moore 4, M Korneliussen 4
What is your verdict on the action? Have your say.

Are you suggesting that the riders have destroyed this season… ?
Or are you suggesting that the promotion/management team have destroyed this season….?
If you are naively going to suggest that the riders have not given their all in 2007, you are very very wrong. Yes, we have been unlucky, especially as some of our top rider experienced very bad crashes early on in the season. Then trying to re-shape the team half way through season, but again very unfortunate with the injuries/crashes that both Lindback and Forsberg suffered. I am a huge fan of Belle Vue and still will be, and at no point EVER suggested that a rider/s have destroyed this season… they have had a tough year but next season will be very different, and we WILL have a heat leader in our team.
If in your statement you think that the promotion/management have destroyed this season… naïve again… the very people who have invested time and money into Belle Vue Speedway are Businessmen, and the success of this club is not only their passion but in their business interests as well to make it a success. This year was going to be difficult for them as they didn’t choose the situation they were dealt with, and had to adapt in the circumstances. Next season will be totally different, but of course you will know this being a FAN.

But ultimately this promotion has put out a side that is the worst in Belle Vue's history. We have gone from being a top team to fodder. The truth is that it was easy to see. But oh no we were gonna surprise teams and we won't be that bad, we won't finish bottom. Everybody could see that it was a painfully weak team. No away wins, bottom by a country mile, falling gates except when the tickets are discounted, and threats of second division racing for the first time in the clubs existence. I'd say that was pretty close to destruction.

Antonio Lindback would fit in very nicely with the Aces. He's young, improving, very talented and a potential future world champ. If Pedersen is staying at Poole then it would be difficult to fit Lindback in for them. Bjerre, Stead, Lindback, Wright would be an excellent line up along with Joe and then juggling the reserves. I haven't got averages to hand but I wouldn't mind betting one of either Lyons or Smudger could be utilised as they are still Belle Vue assets. Sorted.

Had Lindback started the season it could well be that he would not have had such a dismal time, coming in trying to recapture form mid season for a team in crisis. Had Bjerre been there then Stead may have performed better, not having the pressure of trying to be an out and out No.1. Screen may well have had a role as a second string instead of us turning to him to win races for us.
Furthermore Lindback was signed when the season was already a catastrophe and over. (In fact the season was over for us at the start of May) Who can measure how much harm the depressing run did to Riders' confidence and morale. It certainly didn't do it any good!
Ultimately though we didn't get the team that I suggested, we got the lamentable Laukkanen and Fisher instead. (Even Fisher might have done better if he hadn't been in a losing side)
But the most stupid thing about this post is saying "apart from Bjerre leaving". Bjerre would have made a tremendous difference to that side. A rider who has actually won races this season and has increased his average is exactly what have been missing. It is precisely the problem that has plagued us all season.
Once again I'm not sure what you're trying to prove but inadvertantly you have merely served to show that I was correct all along.
Thanks
Good win tonight with everybody chipping in, albeit against a very poor Eastie outfit.
