Title-chasing Coventry dominated the match and the Aces managed only two of the 15 heat winners on their own track.
Captain Joe Screen took the 12th and Kevin Doolan struck two races later but, really, the bottom-placed Belle Vue side were never in contention.
Coventry took the lead in heat two and never looked like losing it and a night that had started badly for the Aces progressively got worse.
Even beforehand they had been in trouble with Antonio Lindback and Billy Forsberg pulling out injured and James Wright forced to drop out of the meeting through illness.
Tough
Aces' captain Screen said: "We knew before the match this would be tough and it showed because Coventry are a side with no weak links.
"I had carburettor problems which took me a couple of races to sort out and at least I got back on the pace and won a race.
"It is just so annoying to lose meetings in this way because you cannot fault the riders for effort. It's just that they have got world-class riders and we haven't."
Belle Vue's problems were accentuated by another disappointing display from guest Adam Shields.
The Arena Essex rider, who scored 16 for his club against Belle Vue last week, managed only six from five rides.
Belle Vue: J Screen 7, K Doolan 7, A Shields 6, S Stead 6, J Parsons 3, A Skornicki 3, A Roynon 2.
Coventry: S Nicholls 15, R Schlein 13, C Harris 10, B Janniro 8, M Smolinski 6, S Johnston 4.

Shields again proved a rubbish guest. Managers messed up by using the Tactical Ride on the wrong race...who in their right mind would have put Skornicki out on a TR?
Good thing was the bumper crowd caused by the MEN/Channel M cheap promotion.
Perhaps the MEN could keep it up for other meetings throughout the school holidays?

Watching Scott Nicholls was worth the £10 alone, his races with Stead and Shields were great. How come he's never won a GP?

Why is Shields such a rubbish guest for us when he scores massive scores against us round the same track? A. He doesn't get to ride against the dross calibre of rider, when he's riding for us as he does when he's lining up for the oppo.

I personally think that utter humiliation is a complete exaggeration… and annihilated is also a little extreme, this is one of the title chasing teams, who will most probably win the league this year.
To a neutral fan or new person to Speedway, last night was a good example of the sport, with many heats showing great battles between all four riders, and that passing is possible round Kirky Lane.
The promotional night was to attract new people to Speedway and utilising the fact that Chris Harris, British GP winner, was riding, especially given all the publicity in general linked to his win, so we may not have won, but with the bumper crowd last night, the atmosphere was great and even better to see young children showing an interest in the sport.
For me, Joel Parsons was great last night, he may not have scored many points but he showed great determination and fought for every one of his points, well done lad

People want to see a winning team, not a bit of a battle for a couple of bends and then the home team get leathered. That is the truth!
Jimmy Jimmy, it wouldn't matter who he gave a tac ride to, he was peeing in the wind. It wouldn't have made a difference if all the riders had a tac ride when we can't win a bloody heat! Oh yeah the reason Nicholls aint won a Grand Prix is that he is not that good, and ALWAYS chokes at the big moment. Harris is more likely to make an impact for Britain.
Oh and Gutless interloper, I suppose you think I should be delighted at watching my team get the footballing equivalent of a 6-0 mauling at home. I don't think so.

I'll judge the management on the next two seasons, not ths one, they werent given much of a chance. I just hope they look to invest in some more young UK talent like Stead as well as Forsburg and Lindback.
