There's nothing personal between the pair except the fact that they both want to race on the same bit of the Kirkmanshulme Lane track when they go out together.
Team manager Eric Boocock explained: "They have been getting under each other's feet during races, which is no good for them or the team.
"They need to be able to concentrate on racing against the opposition and not getting in each other's way. This happens in speedway and the best thing to do is to keep the riders apart in races as much as possible."
Potent
The outcome is that Doolan will switch positions with James Wright with the Stockport youngster forming a potentially potent pairing with Grand Prix star Lindback.
Doolan will move to partner Simon Stead who was due to return tonight after being out injured since June 7. There will be another reshuffle for next Monday's rearranged home match against Ipswich as the new averages for July will come into force.
The Aces are refusing to rush into making a new signing to replace axed American star Ryan Fisher.
They have been looking at riders who race in Poland although that doesn't necessarily mean it is a Polish rider they are targeting.
Promoter Chris Morton said: "We are looking at options but don't want to make the mistake of rushing into a new signing for the sake of a week."
Sheffield's Joel Parsons had been booked for tonight's match, which was called off early to prevent riders flying in from the continent.
What do you think? Have your say.

Morten signed for Eastbourne last week.
Our Promoter is MORTON.
And there's no D in Roger.
If you can't spell simple names what hope have you got with our new Russian signing?
