The Stockport youngster is in the Great Britain side to face Sweden, the Czech Republic and Hungary, in a World Team Cup qualifier at Debrecen, Hungary, on Sunday.
He rides for the Aces in tonight's Elite League match against Wolverhampton at Kirkmanshulme Lane before lining up a hectic schedule of four meetings in four days.
Wright rides for the Aces at Coventry on Friday before racing at his Premier League side, Workington, on Saturday.
Then he flies out to Hungary to compete in a British side that also includesEdward Kennett (Poole), Lewis Bridger (Eastbourne), Daniel King (Peterborough) and Ben Barker (Stoke).
Wright faces an early flight home after that so he can ride in his first British Final at Wolverhampton on Monday when his rivals include Belle Vue colleagues Joe Screen and Simon Stead.
Problems
Aces' team boss Eric Boocock said: "It's a feather in James' cap to be picked but it has caused problems because he has only so many bikes to go round.
"He wants to do well in Hungary but, at the same time, he doesn't want to have all his best gear on the way back from there when he's so keen to make a good impression in the British championship."
Meanwhile, the Aces are desperate for a win in tonight's televised match as they have slipped to the bottom of the table since losing at Oxford last Friday.
Boocock added: "You can't fault the side for commitment and effort but we need everyone to find their form at the same time."
Wolves include their new Danish signing, 19-year-old Kenneth Hansen, who comes in for the out-of-touch Theo Pijper.
Hansen broke a scaphoid riding for Workington and was replaced by Carl Stonehewer but he made a quicker than expected recovery and has joined Wolves on loan for the rest of the season.
BELLE VUE: S Stead, J Wright, J Screen, K Doolan, K Laukkanen, R Fisher, ASkornicki.
WOLVERHAMPTON: P Karlsson, D Howe, B Hamill, K Hansen, F Lindgren, MKarlsson, C Wilkinson.

We need to ensure that Hansen, Wilkinson/Lawson and M Karlsson don't score.
Their top 4 are in pretty good form especially Lindgren. Should make for an intersting close match.

Kenneth Hansen didn't score a single point!!!
He was utter rubbish...not EL standard...don't know what match you were watching if you think Wolves have unearthed a gem there.
The fact that Oxford have closed due to not being able to find any riders to strengthen their decimated side may mean we can pick up someone like Johnno...but hardly the world class stars that muppet roger thinks grow on trees.
Personally I'd get Joshua Auty signed up. A 16 year old kid knocking in second half times faster than 2 races in the main match.

Anyone who thinks Kenneth Hansen is the answer to an EL problem has no idea about Speedway.
I note Roger thinks Carl Stonehewer is a Belle Vue rider...well Roger he was in 1988 when you last went to a match, but he transferred to Long Eaton about 15 years ago. He now belongs to Workington, and has done for some time.

I'm not saying that we should have got him in particular (even though he only scored 2 less than Kaj on his home track.
We need to increase our rider-base and we shouldn't rule out dipping into the foreign market to pick up youngsters.
Let's face it, although there were signs of improvement last night we still lost at home. We can't rely on our limited rider base to change that situation next season.
Let's draw a line under this season because it's already written-off and look to building something for next season.
The only chink of light is the hope that one of our boys can pick up the GP wildcard on Monday night (come on Screeny, Steady, Wrighty!!!)
Come on guys!!!!

In the interests of accuracy, (I know it isn't something that usually troubles you and the other equally intelligent blinkered fools) he wasn't riding in 1988.

Incidentally Carl Stonehewer signed for Belle Vue when he was 16 in May 1988...
However that's history, he's been with Long Eaton/Workington for about 15 years, very much a Workington MAN.
No surprise that he's riding for his own team.

Presumably the imposter who uses my name is 5-1, as he writes a second post that proves he can't understand a missive with his moronic "Stonehewer doesn't ride for Belle Vue" comments. Whoever it is though, you need wit to be amusing in this manner.
Just a few other names to chuck in the ring besides the oft talked about Max/Lindback/Jonssen triumverate. Holte, Walasek, Hampel, Sullivan, Jagus, Povazhny, Gollob. Before the eejits start, the point that Ian and myself are making, is that these riders are professional Speedway riders who would ride if the deal is right. That's how they make money. Anyone of these is probably better than Fisher, Skornicki or Laukkanen. Most of them would have made a big enough difference to make us into a pretty decent team. Our promotion should have been looking at getting these type of riders in. Whether it's worth it now is debatable as our season has been all but over for a month already. On the other hand, fans are turning their backs and showing no appetite for watching a losing team.
I was quite surprised to find that gates at Oxford were as low as 400-500. With support at that low level why didn't they go Premier League? A guestimate says that our crowds are above that, even though they are dropping. I would have thought that a minimum of a thousand at the gate is required to run at Elite League standard. Riders who might be worth plundering from Oxford are Protasiewicz and possibly Johnston.
Don't be put off Ian, some of us can tell that you are making perfectly reasonable points. One day the others might get it. On Wednesday the general opnion was that Kaj must surely have ridden his last race for Belle Vue.
Roger in the Holme Valley (01/06/2007 at 11:57)
Stonehewer was riding for the colts in 1988 and was nowhere near breaking into top flight racing.
Aces5-1 (01/06/2007 at 12:54)
Of the riders he names, 2 or 3 are no good anyway, and ALL of them do not want to ride here...and no they won't ride even for pots and pots of money.
Roger clearly knows little about Speedway, so he's not going to know the riders.
But take for example Jagus. He's a very simple, quiet, family orientated, Polish chap. He doesn't ever want to come to England on a regular basis, He never has, never will. He's not money orientated, he's family orientated.
To think you can force him to ride by waving masses of money is naive and just plain stupid.
Roger in the Holme Valley (01/06/2007 at 18:31)
The fact is that this promotion has put out probably the worst septet in Belle Vue history, crowds are dwindling, the team is non competitive and the heat leaders that left were not replaced in any adequate fashion. I know enough about Speedway to see that!
You clearly don't
