The Aces, sponsored by Channel M, had no luck with falls and bike problems proving costly.
But they wouldn't have changed the overall result against a side which carried too many big guns.
Boocock said: "A lot of people in this stadium would probably say we should get rid of riders and, after this performance, I wouldn't disagree with them.
"But what would we do then? You can't run with four riders and where are the replacements? Just tell me that.
"We have spoken to top Swede Antonio Lindback but we have been told he isn't available for all matches and wants a kings ransom to sign."
Miserable
Ryan Fisher and Kaj Laukkanen continued their miserable run of form in a meeting which provided some fine racing, despite the final margin.
But Peterborough opened an eight point lead in heat 11 and Belle Vue's chances were over from that point.
Pole Adam Skornicki was their top scorer again with 10 while star man Simon Stead had bike problems and managed only six.
Peterborough's number one Hans Andersen, second in last week's European Grand Prix, showed his class by going through the meeting unbeaten.
He made an ominous start when he won the first race in one of the fastest times of the season, 58.77 seconds, and the Aces couldn't live with him.
And he showed the dominance which Belle Vue enjoyed last season when they had world champion Jason Crump in their side.
BELLE VUE: A Skornicki 10, J Screen 9, K Doolan 7, S Stead 6, K Laukkanen 4, J Wright 2, R Fisher 1
PETERBOROUGH: H Andersen 15, N-K Iversen 10, K Bjerre 7, L Dryml 6, D King 6, P Swiderski 4, R Hall 4
What is your verdict on the performance? Have your say.

We're carrying so much excess baggage that when one or two of our better (I won't say top, purposefully) riders have an off-night, then it's a disaster. I'm glad that I decided to stay home last night and watch a good match on Sky.
We'd be as well getting a couple of new faces from Poland or a couple of kids and give them the experience. It'd also get a couple of extra riders on our books for the future. They couldn't do any worse.

The crowd was better than the week before which is good to see!! The only lack of atmosphere i could sense was when Bjerre came on in heat 5 and the crowd went deadly silence!!!! But then what did he expect!!

The atmosphere was one of resignation and the only time I heard anybody get animated was shouts about a getting a "duck off" to Fisher and something about Laukkanen's having another career as a 'banker'. Unless I misheard, who knows?
