The 23-year-old Californian has returned to British speedway after a two-year break but has struggled to get back on the pace.
Fisher cannot be faulted for effort and even went to Wolverhampton on Monday to practise, only to crash and bend his frame.
The vastly experienced Boocock said: "I've seen it before when a rider is so desperate to succeed that he tries too hard.
"There is no doubt Ryan is worried that his contract may be terminated.
Pressure
"That's in the back of his mind all the time every time he goes out to race and he's putting himself under too much pressure.
"I've tried to tell him that it's no good when he tries so hard that he keeps falling on his backside. It's almost as bad as not trying at all.
"He would be better off if he stopped going flat out all the time and concentrated on staying on his bike for four laps.
"A safe second is better than falling off because all he'll do then is get up.
"I've told him to stay on and at least keep the position he's in. Then he can follow the rider in front and wait for him to make a mistake or spot the chance to nip through."
Boocock is also looking to Finnish rider Kaj Laukkanen to start producing the form which has made him a reserve for this season's World championship Grand Prix.
Belle Vue's home Elite League match against Ipswich last night was rained off and a new date has yet to be arranged. Their next match is against Reading at Kirkmanshulme Lane on Monday (7.30pm).

I've heard it all now!
Just when you thought you'd heard every excuse...
What next? I left my helmet on the bus..... the dog ate my bike... an eagle swooped down and stole my kevlars.
They'll be asking the riders to slow down to save on methanol next.
To be fair, it was a gamble bringing Fisher in and sadly it has not come off at all and it doesn't look like it will. The weakness of the team though has meant that he is under pressure to produce as we can't afford any rider to be even slightly below par. The problem is that he was one of three gambles this promotion took and two have failed dismally.
Not great to hear our manager giving the magnificent advice ....if you can just stay on your bike for four laps.... You'd hope that a pro Speedway rider would already understand the importance of that!
Hope Ryan can get it together, seems he has the potential just hasn't had any luck whatsoever this season. Just hope he starts picking up the points sooner rather than later, COME ON RYAN and all the aces!!
Ryan should listen to what his mentors are telling him,he has obvious tallent.
Also Ryan does look somewhat overwieght, surely a lighter, fitter rider, could/should be quicker. You never see a successful overwieght sportsman(apart from Darts).
And Rooney quoman!
He might as well just walk it!Soldier Boy!Come back. All is Forgiven.
Nobody should fault you for trying.
Oh for the days of ,Frank Varey, Joe Abbot, Eric Langton, Bill Kitchin, Dent Oliver, Oliver Langton, Jack Hargreaves, Max Krosskoitz Sorry I cannot spell it) and perhaps throw in Jack Parker.
