DESPITE seeing his side destroy Workington 56-12, Swinton coach Peter Roe remained realistic about his side's chances of qualifying for the end-of-season play-offs.

Tries from Hugh Thorpe, Kris Tassell, Jason Roach, Safraz Patel, Grant Bithell (2), Chris Roe and Mike Loughlin, along with 16 points from the boot of Chris Hough, pushed the Lions to within three points of second-placed Sheffield.

"We've won three on the trot now and we're playing quite well," said Roe.

"At the beginning of the season I said we want to win more than we lose and that's a realistic goal.

"We've been embroiled in three separate competitions this year and I think we lost a bit of focus early on, but we want to make the play-offs and anything sixth and above will suit us.

"If we win the rest of our games we'll qualify, it's still in our own hands."
