STALYBRIDGE Celtic have made the scoop signing of highly-rated striker Steve Foster from the local rivals Hyde United.

Foster, who has been on trial at Oldham, scored 23 goals last season despite playing in a struggling side and suffering injuries.

Celtic see him as a major capture in their build-up to a UniBond title challenge and promotion to the Nationwide Conference next season.

They have also signed Radcliffe Boro midfielder Barry Keeling and striker Greg Brickell from Atherton Collieries.
