Northwich will have to wait a little longer for the green light to ground share with neighbours Witton Albion next term while their new stadium is being built.
Witton's Wincham Park base was due for a visit from the Conference ground-graders this week, but the inspection has now been put back until February 18.
But Vics, who, subject to contract, have sold their famous old Drill Field ground for housing, have already been told what improvements they need to make to their temporary home and it seems highly likely the move will go ahead.
Meanwhile, Witton have just cancelled the UniBond registrations of 16 of their former players.
Now, they hope to ''re-sign'' a host of old boys to take part in a testimonial game they're planning for club captain Brian Pritchard on Sunday May 5.
The match will see Pritchard lining up alongside former team-mates and other past players against Witton's 1992 FA Trophy final side.
Witton are also extending an open invitation to all former players and officials to attend the planned official opening of their new exhibition centre on the same day.
For more details, contact Witton's supporters' association secretary Jim Powell on 01606-783810 (daytime) or 01606-3303323 (evenings).
The centre, which is located within Wincham Park, features memorabilia and photos dating back to Witton's formation. It's open on matchdays and admission is free.
