Salford City Reds coach Steve McCormack has confirmed he is keen to sign Brisbane prop Mark Corvo.

Corvo is the Reds' top overseas target and the club are ready to make a concerted effort to secure his signature.

McCormack said: ''Corvo is a good player. He's one of three players we are interested in.''

• Bobbie Goulding, club captain again this season, has welcomed the signing of Alan Hunte.

Goulding said: ''Alan is a quality player who will bring class, style and a touch of arrogance to the three-quarter line.

''He should still be in the GB set up in my book. He is strong, he can score good tries and is quick out of the line to tackle.''
