THE last Great Britain captain to taste Ashes victory is hoping another tactical masterstroke can secure Ashes victory over Australia.
The hosts outwitted the Aussies at Huddersfield last Sunday with a surprise line-up and Frank Myler, the last man to lead a GB series win against the men from Down Under, is looking for a repeat performance.
Coach David Waite could be playing more mind games with his Australian counterpart Chris Anderson.
The Lions boss says he is again going into battle in the Second Test at Bolton on Saturday night with the same 13 which started the first.
But this time last week, Waite dramatically U-turned, starting with Hull teenager Richard Horne at scrum-half after initially selecting him at half-back.
Waite claimed this was a tactical ploy to out-manoeuvre the Aussies.
Now reports suggest either Warrington's Lee Briers or Bradford's Paul Deacon could have some role to play at scrum-half in Saturday's sell-out Reebok clash.
Myler, hoping the Lions can end a 31-year wait, wants victory - whatever the line-up.
He said: ''I have had this label on me for far too long and would dearly love to see Andrew Farrell leading GB to glory.
''We have as good a chance as we'll ever have and anything is possible.
''We must again get in Australia's faces from the start.''
Top Aussie referee Bill Harrigan is a controversial choice to take charge of Saturday's clash.
He has come under fire with RL legend Shaun Edwards, the latest big-name star to point out how Harrigan's handling of games has not always helped the Lions' cause.
