CHORLTON cycling star Glynis Francis moved ahead of her schedule by capturing two world records in the 45-49 age group.

Racing in the National Track Championships at the Velodrome, Glynis first took the 200m flying start record with 14.067s.

And she made it a double with 13.301s in the 200m flying start time trial but this didn't last long as Amercan Linelle Betts clocked 13.1s in the World Masters Track Championships.

Glynis finished second in this event and also captured silver behind Linelle in the 500m time trial.

Glynis said: ''Linelle has only just moved into this age category and is a very accomplished rider.

''But I still hold my other record and I gained revenge over Linelle by beating her by three seconds in the qualifying round of the Womens Pursuit but lost out to Marian Bax from the Netherlands in the final to collect another silver.''

Her third silver came in the 500m time trial to end a fantastic week.

She added: ''It would have been nice to keep both world records until the end of 2001 but it's still great to know that I have broken two world records and I plan to put it right next year.
