BELLE VUE have received a massive boost in their bid to recover from two years in the doldrums by agreeing a new deal to ride on at Kirkmanshulme Lane next year.
Winter planning has often been sidelined in recent close seasons because of rent disputes with their Greyhound Racing Association landlords.
There has even been a danger of the Aces' management putting their licence on ice to halt racing which has run unbroken at Belle Vue since 1928.
But constructive talks between promoter John Perrin and stadium general manager John Gilburn, who have enjoyed a year of closer co-operation, have resulted in an early agreement.
Perrin said: ''We have had an excellent meeting with John Gilburn, who has been very helpful, and a deal has been agreed.
''It gives us a real flying start to know we'll be back next year even before the current season is over. It means we can get down to some serious planning straight away, especially over rebuilding the team.''
