WITHINGTON'S mini-marvels completed a Grand Slam when they beat Fairfield to win the Ian Anthony Challenge at a misty Lowes Park.
It crowned a glorious season for the club's juniors who have also captured the Mersey league and shield and the centenary trophy.
And it was justice at last for the youngsters who lost on the last putt in last year's final against Didsbury.
Six of the lads who played then were in the team this time - and five of them will still be eligible for next season.
Withington made their intentions clear from the outset as they overpowered Bramhall 5-2 in the semis - a score matched by Fairfield against Dunscar.
Paul Brough got them off to a flying start when he eclipsed Grant Hobson five and three although Fairfield's hopes were raised as Dan Reid edged to a final green win over Adam Bramwell.
Mat Evans, three and two against Gareth Dawber, and Mark Eadsworth, who demolished Mike Dawber seven and six, kept Withington in the ascendancy.
Alex Dawber, the third brother in the Fairfield team, stopped the rot by beating Eddie Hamilton on the last hole before Andy Shaw settled when he overcame Tom Broadbent four and three.
