COACH Jeff Jones will dip into Manchester Magic's pool of young talent to boost his squad for Sunday's vital EBL Division One trip to Reading Rockets.

Magic have injury worries, with forward Gavin Smith unlikely to make the trip because of a calf problem and John Cagianello playing with back pain.

Jones will supplement his travelling party with a handful of players from the club's prodigious youth set-up, though he is likely to stick to his main men - including a fit-again and firing Matt Hogarth - for a match that could help determine the title.

Magic and Rockets are level-pegging in joint second behind Worthing and, following his team's Trophy semi-final defeat to their Berkshire rivals last weekend, Jones said: "We will have to go back there and show what we're made of." Tweet
