After the high of their National Cup final win two weeks ago, Magic slipped to only their second defeat of the season last Sunday in the National Trophy.
They still progressed from Pool 1 to the semi-final stages, but relinquished home advantage and must now travel to Reading Rockets on February 4.
Now, Magic face a testing double header at home to Cup final foes Worthing tomorrow and at Kings Lynn on Sunday. Jones, whose team lie third in the table with a record of eight wins from nine games, wants to see a return to winning ways.
"Maybe we had a bit of hangover from the final last weekend against West Herts," he said.
"Defensively we let it slip. We've been working on that this week and one or two other things. "We know it will be tough against Worthing they will be fired up. But we need to make sure we put in good work then go to Kings Lynn on a high."
