My players showed a huge amount of character, let's give credit where it's due, they've been copping flak and everyone was under the microscope.
I was really happy for the players, it was so tough for them losing at half- time, the game was on TV and we were no doubt being written off yet again.
But we hung in there, we won and we now want to kick on and climb Super League.
This kind of win gives confidence and we needed it but we can't take our eyes off what the club needs and that's to be stronger . But I must salute the players for the way they battled to turn things round, they just hung in there and they didn't want to let one another down.
Everyone played their part.
I didn't feel under pressure going into the game but I felt under pressure for the players with how things were going.
We prepared well as we always do but a very disappointing 40 per cent first-half completion rate spoke for itself.
We were again our own worst enemies, making basic mistakes, dropping ball on a regular basis and not being able to complete back-to-back sets of six.
No wonder we trailed but we remained upbeat at half-time and I could see the players were do determined, like I say they didn't want to let anyone down and they went out and showed tremendous determination.
That was the first time we've won a second half this season and it has at least given us something to build on, you could see just how much it meant to the boys.
Results have not been going for us but during the past month or so I remained pretty quiet while receiving a lot of letters from fans.
They've said hang on in there, keep going, we're behind you - I greatly appreciate this and the fans were absolutely magnificent on Sunday, they played a big part in the win.
We played well as a team at Wakefield but Mark Calderwood deserves a special mention for his part in the victory.
Benefit
He settled in well, he's been training the house down and isn't it ironic that a man brought in to score tries is proving his worth saving tries?
His defence and his reading of the game at Wakefield was spot on - I am sure it is only a matter of time before Calderwood cuts loose.
One of the biggest talking points from the game was the fact that no video replays showed Wakefield's Paul White touching the ball down for a try so we can only assume the benefit of the doubt was given to the attacking team.
Surely you have to take into consideration the efforts of the defence - why no reward for holding a player up on the line - no complaints though victory for us was everything.
I REALLY hope Manchester United can come up on the rails to catch Chelsea and pip them to the Premier League title.
It would be a truly fantastic achievement but it's possible, United are playing superbly. If Chelsea are to lose the title, I wouldn't be surprised to see Jose Mourinho sacked and this would be a pity because like him or loathe him, the game needs characters and he's brought a lot of colour to the Premiership.
United's tails will really be up if they beat Arsenal and this is possible.
You have to take your hat off and admire Sir Alex Ferguson, he's a great boss who has stood the test of time and he'll be going flat out to put one over Chelsea.
As for Manchester City, I was very interested to hear Stuart Pearce's verbal blast at his players following the home defeat by Middlesbrough.
I didn't rate City's chances too highly at the start of the season but was made to eat my own words yet it's where you finish at the end of the season that matters not where you are at the start.
Having said that, City have been like a breath of fresh air at times and you can't take anything away from Pearce.
AS you know I am a big horse racing fan and I'm eagerly looking forward to this week's Grand National - my Aintree tip is Jack High - I was speaking with Clare Balding last weekend, picking her brains and this seems to be a good choice - she also mentioned Sir Rembrandt and Innox but I say put your shirt on Jack High - the form's good and it's strongly fancied to do well at one of the great British sporting occasions.
