Boxing: Joy for Murray

Manchester's Joe Murray dealt with some unfinished business when he outpointed Chris Higgs on an amateur show in Herefordshire.

They had been due to meet in last year's Junior ABA semi finals but Murray, the 2004 National Champion, had to withdraw with a virus.

Higgs went on to win the title and Murray, 18, from Boarshaw ABC, has been itching to put the record straight since.

He agreed at short notice to face Featherweight Higgs in his home ring in Ross on Wye and despite being more than a kilo lighter, Murray won unanimously.
