The 30-year-old Welshman was discharged after treatment but won't race again until the start of Belle Vue's season on March 6. Promoter Ian Thomas said: "Phil has sent a message saying that he will be ready for the start of the season.
"He is staying on in New Zealand for a couple of weeks' rest in the sun."
The Fonestyle UK Aces open the new season with the Peter Craven Memorial Trophy and have also arranged challenge matches with Coventry, at home on March 13, and away on March 17. Tweet
