MANCHESTER'S two newly-crowned ABA boxing champions have been overlooked for the Commonwealth Games.

England's 11-man squad does not include Anthony Crolla or Denton Vassell, clubmates at Ancoats-based Fox ABC.

Crolla has been pipped for the lightweight spot by Birmingham's Frankie Gavin while Liverpool's Neil Perkins, a bronze medallist in the world championships in China, has got the welterweight berth ahead of Vassell. Tweet
