Loan Sheffield Wednesday striker Danny Reet gave the Shakers a 75th minute lead with a 25 yard drive which left Barnet keeper Ross Flitney no chance.
But in the 85th minute Ben Stevens headed home, unmarked at the back post, from a Nicky Bailey corner to give the home side a share of the spoils.
Bury had good chances through Nicky Adams who saw a 20 yard shot saved by Flitney in the first half, whilst Reet also saw a header acrobatically saved by the keeper.
However Chris Casper's side should be thankful to their keeper Neil Edwards as he produced a string of good stops.
The Welshman first denied Gruliano Grazioli, before he also blocked twice from Paulo Bernazza.
Liam Hatch also went close for the home side, but Edwards was there to the rescue again.
