RAY Hatton has echoed his son Ricky's belief that Saturday night's unification showdown with Carlos Maussa could end up being the Hitman's last fight in Britain.

The showdown with WBA champion Maussa at Sheffield's Hallam FM Arena is heading for a 12,000 sell-out and Hatton has already exclusively revealed to M.E.N. Sport that he feels it may be the last chance for British fans to see him fight in the flesh.

Now Ray, who also acts as the Hitman's main adviser, has said the same: "If he beats Carlos Maussa, I'd be very surprised if Richard fights in Britain again," he says. "As the tests are getting tougher, and Richard is looking for nothing but top opponents, he will probably now fight two or three times a year."
