MANCHESTER boxers Anthony Crolla and Denton Vassell both had superb wins last night to qualify for Friday's ABA semi-finals.

Crolla outpointed former multi-national junior champion Liam Shinkwin (Bushey) 7-2 in his lightweight quarter-final at the Liverpool Olympia. And big-hitting Fox ABC clubmate Vassell gave Nottingham's Leigh Morris three standing counts on his way to a 17-8 win at welterweight. Tweet
