John Reid was first to achieve the hole in one at the 130-yard eighth, which is fronted by a lake, and moments later Steve Wallford followed him in.
"It was astonishing," said club professional Paul Farrance. "They went out in a two ball in the Watkins Cup, and when John scored his ace, Steve quipped `How do I follow that?'
"You can imagine the shock when he did the same. Fortunately, they were both witnessed by committee man David Jack - otherwise no one would have believed it!"
The achievement is rare. The last recorded double was in Belfast two years ago. Tweet
