At seven-under-par he left the rest of the field in his slipstream, Castle Hawk veteran Garry Boardman claiming second place on countback from West Lancs ace Rob Cannon, six strokes off the pace.
Carroll's performance lifted him into second place in the Mitsushiba Northern Order of Merit, 200 points behind Pleasington's Michael Hunt. with Ashton-on-Mersey's Kevin Kean third.
