Rugby League: Goulding faces pain game

SALFORD star Bobbie Goulding is ready to defy pain and play against the team he almost joined earlier this season.

He revealed he is desperate to help the relegation-threatened Reds win Sunday's vital clash with fellow strugglers Warrington.

Goulding said: "I badly want to play. I just want to go out there and help the Salford cause with ten games left - I want to do my bit.''

Reds coach Karl Harrison delays selection because a pelvic problem for Goulding remains a worry. He admits the injury is sore after he has trained but believes he can get through a match thanks to painkillers.

He adds: "I always love playing against Warrington - I take stick but always relish the atmosphere and this is a huge game.''

Harrison is unlikely to start with Goulding and may well use him as a bench player.
