DAVID Warnock returns to the scene of past glories this weekend when the when the ex-British GT Champion heads to Donington Park for round six of the FIA GT World Championship.

Warnock, from Alderley Edge, will be sharing driving duties with Mike Jordan and the race will mark Warnock's first-outing for his own team, and reunites the crew that won the 2001 British GT crown.

David has an enviable record at Donington Park with nine wins from as many starts on the way to four British sports car titles, but he won't have it all his way in the world series, 'the competition in the FIA is very tough,' says Warnock, 'and with the ballast we have to carry for not doing the whole season we are not likely to win.'

'It would be good for Mike and I to run competitively though and to show the other teams what Jordan Warnock Racing is capable of!'

Jordan Warnock Racing have already demonstrated their potential by taking two wins in this year's British championship.

'The team had a good win in Wiltshire last weekend which has helped us in the British rankings and next week we are entering our brand new Porsche RSR for the six hour race at the Nurburgring.'
